APM Graph
APM Graph
The APM Graph module is designed to perform the graphical part of computer preparation of design documentation. It is an integral part of APM WinMachine and APM Civil Engineering computer-aided design systems, but can also be used as an independent software product.
APM Graph is a flat (2D) graphic editor that provides the designer with a wide range of opportunities to automate design and engineering work in various fields of science and industry, in architecture and construction. It is effectively used as a source data preparation environment for the calculation modules of APM WinMachine and APM Civil Engineering.
APM Graph comes with a set of databases necessary for the design of new products or the modernization of old ones: a database of standard parts and assemblies, reference data on general mechanical engineering APM Mechanical Data; APM Construction Data database of graphic information on standard parts and elements of building structures; APM Technology Data database of standard information data for the design of technological processes; APM Section Data library of parametric cross-sections of rolled metal.
APM Graph features
APM Graph is designed for:
- Create and edit projection drawings of objects using the usual set of primitives typical of flat graphics.
- drawing kinematic, dynamic, hydraulic, electrical and other schemes and drawings, drawing up calculation and explanatory notes, as well as performing auxiliary procedures;
- preparation of drawing documentation in accordance with the requirements of the Unified System of Drawing Documentation and its subsequent storage, viewing and editing;
- A parametric representation of a graphical object that makes it easy to obtain graphically similar objects without re-drawingsults;
- calculation of dimensional chains.
APM Graph features
APM Graph is designed for:
- import of information from other graphic editors and export of the resulting drawings to other graphic environments (via DXF format);
- exchange of information with databases (engineering, construction and technological), which are an integral part of the software products of STC APM;
- exchange of graphic information with the calculation modules of the APM WinMachine and APM Civil Engineering systems, i.e. as a preprocessor for the preparation of geometric initial data before the calculation and a postprocessor for displaying the results;
- calculation of dimensional chains.
APM Graph offers users to:
- a user-friendly interface that speeds up the work on the preparation of design and technological documentation with the best combination of price and quality;
- various methods of constructing graphic primitives (orthogonal drawing, various kinds of references, the use of auxiliary lines, etc.);

Creating Custom Databases
The APM Base module provides the ability to create new databases similar to the standard databases that come with APM WinMachine and APM Civil Engineering. The resulting databases can be used to work with both graphical and computational modules of APM WinMachine and APM Civil Engineering.
Working with Parametric Models
APM Base has extensive capabilities for working with parametric models obtained in the parametric drawing and graphic editor APM Graph. Thanks to this, the user can easily and quickly create the databases of standard products necessary for work in his field.
Database search
For more efficient work with information arrays, it is possible to make a selection from the specified database according to the specified parameters. To perform this operation, both the standard search system and the functions of specifying classifiers corresponding to database objects are provided.
Setting up work with calculation and graphical modules
The APM Base module provides the calculation and graphics modules of the APM WinMachine and APM Civil Engineering systems with the necessary information. Such information can be a set of parameters necessary for calculations, and libraries of parametric models of standard products necessary for automatic generation of drawing and graphic documentation.
The ability to customize this interaction allows you to get a system that most fully meets the needs of users in various fields of activity.
